Testimonials
Lars, Mechanical Engineering Lead
“I came to learn about new manufacturing techniques and see what local resources are available. Being able to get hands-on with products, understand timelines, and meet the person behind the email makes all the difference when choosing who to do business with.”
Donato, Mechanical Design Engineer
“I have designs that require machining, welding, 3D printing, molding, and more, so this show is a great opportunity to meet suppliers with a wide range of capabilities all in one place. Connecting with them in person makes the process much easier.”
Mike, Quality Systems Consultant
“I come to these shows to make connections. We live in a world where no one answers their phone—that’s just the reality of how people communicate now. But in manufacturing, deals still happen face-to-face. It’s important, and I want to know who I’m doing business with. Email and phone calls just don’t compare.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Who exhibits at a Design-2-Part (D2P) Show?
D2P exhibitors are regional and national contract manufacturers and job shops. They provide outsourcing solutions across 300+ product categories serving the metal, plastics, rubber, and electronics industries.
Attendees can meet suppliers offering a wide range of capabilities—from prototyping to full production.
Who attends a D2P Show?
D2P Shows attract decision-makers who source and specify parts and services, including:
- Manufacturing engineers
- Design engineers
- Manufacturing management
- Purchasing and sourcing professionals
Attendees represent companies of all sizes and come specifically to find qualified manufacturing partners and compare capabilities in person.
Is there a cost to attend?
No. Registration and admission are free.
To save time onsite, we strongly recommend pre-registering online before the show.
What are the benefits of pre-registering?
Pre-registration helps you maximize your time on the show floor:
- Faster entry with minimal wait times
- Access to online planning tools
- Last-minute updates and announcements before the event
In short: you walk in ready to meet suppliers, not stand in line.
Can I bring sample parts, blueprints, or drawings?
Absolutely. Many attendees bring parts, prints, or plans for suppliers to review and quote.
D2P Shows are working shows—exhibitors welcome real project conversations and are ready to discuss solutions on the spot.
What if I’m interested in exhibiting?
We’d love to talk. We provide customized exhibiting quotes based on your goals and location preferences.
To get started:
- Submit the “I’m Interested in Exhibiting” form for the show(s) you are interested in
OR
- Call us at 800-225-4535
We’ll walk you through booth packages, pricing, eligibility, and availability.
Can students and instructors attend D2P Shows?
Yes—we encourage students to attend as future manufacturing professionals.
Because D2P Shows are active business environments, we ask student groups to follow these guidelines:
- Attend after 11:00 a.m.
This helps reduce congestion and allows exhibitors to conduct business earlier in the day. - Email our registration manager in advance
Send your group size to regmgr@d2p.com before arriving.
Thank you for helping us keep the show productive and professional for everyone.
Is solicitation or handing out literature allowed on the show floor?
No. D2P enforces a strict no-solicitation policy at all shows. This includes:
- Directly soliciting exhibitors or attendees for business
- Distributing promotional materials, brochures, or company literature
Any attendee reported for solicitation will be asked to leave. Sales professionals are still welcome if they are attending to evaluate suppliers or explore future exhibiting opportunities—just not to sell on the floor.
